In the modern society, the opportunity when the people living in the downtown area in particular come in contact with nature decreases. The people living in the downtown area go to the place such as a sightseeing spot and the campground using a holiday, but time is required with a great deal of cost in it. In late years children who play by TV game and the spread of PCs more than outside play in the room increase. However, it is the present conditions that it is not possible even if the children want to do outside play. Therefore we used a riverside, and Koto-ku, Tokyo founded a water park. We are empty-handed at low cost, and, as for the thing of the guidance of the instructor, the kayak ground of a founded water park can enjoy all kayaks in more than primary schoolchild. A purpose of this study is to conduct an investigation into the effect that kayak ground in a water park founded in the downtown area gives to local inhabitants.  We investigated ridership, an age group, sex, use frequency, house area during August every day and only a holiday from September to October. The age group divided children in a primary and secondary students more than high school student an adult. Also, we cleared an opportunity, satisfaction, the problems from the conversation with the users.  There was the most use of the primary schoolchild followed by it was adult of an adult and the women with men. The most elderly user was 80-year-old couple. Also, the use of children with a mild intellectual impairment and the disorder of lower limbs was found. We included one which a voice that we "wanted to use it" "satisfied" with from many users sounded like, the problems to "want you to increase the numbers of the kayak for utility time" that we "wanted to row at a large place". We are as follows when we settle results. The kayak experience in the downtown area contributed to the increase of the opportunity to come in contact with nature. The kayak ground provided the environment where children had outside play safely.
