According to Piaget, classification can be used as criterion of cognitive development stage. Then gifted students and general students may have different classificational ability. The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference between gifted and general students' eye movement pattern during classification on the biological and non-biological task. 9 Gifted students(Science gifted high school students) and 9 general high school students were wearing the eye-tracker while they did the biological and non-biological tasks. Their eye movement were traced during task performance, then fixation rate and gaze distribution were analazed. The analysis result shows the difference of eye gaze between gifted and general students during classification on biological and non-biological tasks. Both group’s eye gaze showed unequal distribution about the each task. But which AOI(Area of interest) they paid attention was different. In case of the gifted students, in non-biological task and biological task, 2 AOI got different gaze distribution. On the other hand, the general students, they showed other eye movement pattern. They paid attention to other 2 AOI. As statistically, gifted students group and general highschool students group were significant different group. It means different level of group make different classification process pattern.
