Friday, February 17, 2012: 2:00 PM
Room 205-207 (VCC West Building)
Richard Moss , Joint Global Change Research Institute, College Park, MD
Dr. Moss will review emerging delivery opportunities for climate change science communication, user engagement, and policy-maker uptake through more flexible participatory scenarios enabled by the Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) to be used for the first time in the IPCC 5th Assessment and upcoming US National Climate Assessment. He discusses visualizations in the broader perspective of a family of techniques to build capacity and assist human adaptive and mitigative responses to climate change.
