Heather Joseph , Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition, Washington, DC
The purpose of research is to stimulate novel discoveries that influence how people within society think and interact with the world. In this regard, Ms. Joseph will explain that communication of such research is therefore conclusively necessary and inseparable from the research conducted itself. Her emphasis on the importance of global communication makes way for the case that open access research may not continue to be an alternative, but rather, will become the norm of scientific discovery.
