Water Security: Competing Perspectives, Multidisciplinary Challenges

This presentation presents a meta-analysis of water-security related research in all disciplines over the period 1990 - 2010. We identify divergent definitions of water security, and distinct approaches to water security assessment which are deployed with different methods and at different scales. We explore the consequent challenges (and opportunities) for multidisciplinary research collaboration.
