Why does research on those global challenges hardest hitting in developing countries often exclude developing country scholars? Is this because poor countries’ scientific capacity is insufficient? Or, is it because that capacity is not activated through international partnerships? This presentation will explore these and other questions pertinent to collaborative innovation, drawing on Dr. Fedoroff’s deep experience in policy, academia, and research on the cutting edge of biotechnology.
