Loureiro assesses total damage by conducting sectorial economic analysis, focusing on fisheries damages, reputation and image losses of fisheries and shellfish sectors, recreational and tourism losses, environmental losses and health effects. The linkages between ecological and economic damages are represented for each affected sector in addition to the discussion of community resilience despite a significant total damage.
