Socially robust policy decisions that actually reflect public views can be reached through dialogue and communication. A range of activities and projects with the objective to communicate directly with policy-makers have been launched in recent years in the UK. Evaluation from these consultations show e.g. a strong commitment of policy makers is necessary. Experiences and evaluation form a basis for further development of dialogue schemes and funding of projects.
