In this interactive workshop, Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellows will immerse you in inquiry-based lessons they use to engage students in doing science. The classrooms that many of us remember were teacher-centered. Today, they are student-centered, focused on how learning occurs. Educators, at K-12 and above, are engaging students in the process of science. Come try some hands-on elementary, middle, and high school science activities, and learn techniques you can use in university-level courses. Learner-centered--rather than teacher-centered, lecture-based classrooms--can fundamentally change students' understanding of science and better prepare the next generation. Come let us show you how.
