This workshop will focus on how those who would not be described as “a people person” can acquire the skills necessary for public speaking, networking, and presenting yourself to other researchers who may or may not be useful to your work. You don’t have to become the life of the party to be successful in science. The trick is to learn to be just outgoing enough to make connections whether with individuals or with an audience and keep them open enough to achieve what you want to get done.
