Many researchers wishing to publish scientific papers in English are nonnative speakers of the language. This workshop is designed primarily for members of this audience, especially those early in their careers. Its main objective is to provide guidance on writing papers acceptable to English-language journals. The workshop also can aid other early-career researchers, and it can help mid-career and senior researchers in mentoring others regarding scientific writing. The workshop will include pointers on content, organization, and wording. It also will include exercises and resource lists. Through this workshop, members of the core audience are likely to increase not only their knowledge and skill but also their confidence.
