Recent research has shown that high gamma band activity recorded from the surface of the brain is well correlated to single unit activity. In this talk, we will discuss using high gamma band activity recorded from epidural electrocorticographic electrodes for device control. Topics such as optimal electrode diameters and spacing will discussed as well as the role of biofeedback and neural plasticity on closed loop control.
