This speaker will discuss the findings of the ongoing United States Nitrogen Assessment. He will describe the benefits and costs reactive nitrogen use has had on the population, economy, and natural resources. He will compare and contrast the challenges various regions confront (e.g., the Mississippi Basin, Chesapeake Bay, and Rocky Mountains). He will discuss potential responses at the state and national level.
