US GLOBEC (GLOBal ocean ECosystems dynamics), a multi-disciplinary research program examining the potential impact of global climate change on ocean ecosystems, is uniquely positioned to observe long-term, large-scale variability in oceans. With data from four study regions spanning nearly two decades, Dr. Haidvogel will present the latest GLOBEC research that depicts a highly dynamic ocean, with concurrent changes occurring on episodic, inter-annual and decadal time scales.
