This speaker will examine how new and old energy technologies are covered in developed and developing countries in terms of their impact on global climate change and greenhouse gas emissions. How is nuclear power covered in the U.S. and France? What kind of media coverage do clean energy technologies receive in countries like China and India? The coverage is often affected by a variety of political, economic and geographic factors that go beyond the technologies themselves. He will also look at international reporting on controversial proposals involving geoengineering.
