Flow batteries decouple the power and energy density components of electrical energy storage. Perry will discuss how breakthroughs in cell architecture and smaller system size will provide for dramatically lower cost batteries that are an order of magnitude more powerful than existing flow batteries. Unique cell design and advances in materials will offer a pathway to commercially viable building, renewable, and grid-scale energy storage.
