Efficient use of advanced technology such as proteomics, geneomics, and spectrographic molecular imaging require a basic understanding the technology. The result is pressure to adjust medical school entrance requirements to include more students with engineering and physical science backgrounds. The presentation will discuss the experience of the medical graduates of the Harvard-MIT Health Science and Technology MD program that requires an physical science or engineering premedical background.
