The Turks and Caicos Islands Turtle Project is an interdisciplinary research project aimed at assessing and understanding the importance and impact of a traditional marine turtle fishery. The project combines a biological assessment of the turtle population and current harvest with detailed observations and analysis of the social, economic and cultural significance of the fishery with the goal of informing management recommendations.
