As a member of the Temporal Dynamics of Learning Center (a NSF Science of Learning Center), Dr. Movellan will report on studies of how time and timing influences learning through a number of time-scales, brain systems and social systems. The focus of his presentation will be on social robots that interact with 18-24 month old toddlers as part of their daily activities at the Early Childhood Education Center at the University of California, San Diego.
