Science, Innovation, and Integration: Science as a Multicultural Mediator

A unique blend of science and innovation is used in Danish lower secondary schools to urge young immigrant children to pursue further science education. This 6-year project involves teacher training, informal education, school-industry collaboration and exhibitions made by the students, and illuminates ways in which science festivals can result in extended impact on learning.
