European Scientists in the United States: Challenges and Opportunities

This interactive workshop will explore various factors that relate to European researchers' mobility across the Atlantic, particularly building on the experience of members of the EURAXESS Links USA network. Benefits of networking will be discussed and information about the various opportunities for networking among European researchers in the United States will be provided. The ways in which the new programs can help the community of European researchers in the United States will be presented. The workshop will also explore opportunities for the European research diasporas to contribute to research and innovation in their home countries and identify initiatives that may increase such transatlantic involvement. Input will be sought from the event participants to identify additional potential issues that would need to be addressed.
