Grand Challenges for Agricultural Research

This talk will address radical new applications of science for food-crop production. A focus on individual plant traits usually results in an incremental, technology-driven improvement over the existing agricultural technology. However there is the potential for more radical developments that would result in completely new crops or existing crops that would be grown quite differently from their present versions.
