As a former FBI Special Agent, I have unique experience tackling investigations that require balancing the privacy needs of individuals with the security needs of governments. I will address the intersection between law enforcement’s need for evidence collection and the need for digital privacy through encryption via these first hand experiences at the FBI both in cyber and counterterrorism.Â
