The Commission examined the diversity of graduate students along several axes, including gender, underrepresented minorities, domestic and international.  The need for graduate programs to be clear on admission requirements and provide foundational courses was emphasized, given the variability in undergraduate preparation.  This presentation will focus on the Commission’s recommendations related to the diversity of the graduate student population as well as the preparation of incoming graduate students.
