6651 Managing Carbon Dioxide Emissions Today: An Industry Perspective

The power generation industry is very interested in future activities related to managing CO2 emissions. Currently, several large industry lead pilot projects for CO2 capture and sequestration at coal fired power plants are underway and the power industry as a whole is considering the overall feasibility, economics, and potential risks of various approaches as well as locations of future projects. This presentation will provide the industry perspective of CO2 management strategies with a focus on the economic and technical feasibility of proposed strategies.
