As science and technology in international development gain prominence, new actors beyond bilateral donors and banks have emerged. Foundations, corporations and partnerships with universities have emerged to provide scientific and technical expertise through competitions, prizes and other innovative mechanisms. This session will explore these new relationships and how S&T is playing a defining role in development through new actors.
