This presentation focuses on the use of statistical genetics to identify genes contributing to risk of complex diseases. This work falls into the field of genetic epidemiology, and deals with diseases where both genes and environmental risk factors contribute to disease etiology. She is one of the recipients of a NIDCR grant in the FaceBase Consortium initiative for her study on, cleft lip and cleft palate
